A visit to the young trees

God made the Earth to enlarge heaven.  E.G.White

So God created man in His own image. Genesis 1:27.

I bow my knees to the Lord Jesus Christ of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named . Ephesians 3: 14, 15

The Bible

Yesterday I re visited the new oak trees wrapped in plastic

A deep green leaf on one.

We who care are witness to this first.

Summers in great numbers stretch ahead with increasing green abundance .

Unless something drastic awaits this summer field these little oaks will grow to their grand great oak plan hidden in their acorn long ago.

For in the true nature of things, if we rightly consider every green tree is far more glorious than if it were made of gold or silver.

Martin Luther (German Priest who taught that salvation and consequently eternal life are not earned by good deeds; rather they are received only as a free gift of God ‘s grace through the believers faith in Jesus Christ, the redeemer from sin. His theology challenged the Pope by teaching that the Bible is the only source of divinely revealed knowledge.)
The oaks my boys and dogs played under

Ancient trees are precious. There is little else on Earth that plays host to such a rich community of life within a single living organism.

Sir Richard Attenborough (British broadcaster, presenter and naturalist.)

These eight trees their fragility hidden in golden long grass are my joy.

The trees encountered on a country stroll

Reveal a lot about that country’s soul…

A culture is no better than its woods.

W. H. Auden ( British American poet 1907 -1973)

Today it rained all day we didn’t join the Sabbath walk. We are still tired from travelling. We hope you are well.

Sandy 🙂

  1. Beautiful. Oaks are lovely. Our west African slave ancestor helped plant them in Stellenbosch a few hundred years ago. Some are still there.
