Father’s day thoughts travelling through Germany

Our Father who is in Heaven, Hallowed be your name. May it be Father’s day every day for you.

Matthew 6:9 (Sandy’s comment)
Germany under cloud this afternoon.
If Dad Brian hadn't chosen to be a missionary in Zambia,
If Dad Bill (Percival William) had chosen to emigrate to Canada with his wife and two little girls,
Roy and I wouldn't be driving through Germany together today.

Roy wouldn't be father to our boys and life as we have known it wouldn't have existed.

Happy Father's Day Dad.
You are 94 next month. Thank you for being my Dad.

Remembering Brian who passed at 98 during covid but not from covid.
Thank you for your legacy of joy in living.

These Dads made decisions that live on in us.

We will keep the happy , funny memories and hopefully learn from the bad.
Both of you making up our lives in the present.
Sandy 🙂

Still travelling.

  1. How blessed you both are with two great Dads! It is with fond memories we think back to our Dads and grateful to have the men in our lives and Fathers of our beautiful children! They deserve to have a special day for sure❤️

  2. Amazing how the decisions of the generations before us have resulted in our existence. Charles Stratford who chose to leave Berkshire; Alexander Donet who got up to mischief with his employer’s daughter and was sent SA. Etc etc etc. Love it!
