Castel San Pietro Terme to San Donato-Moro

Happy is the person who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is in the LORD.

Jeremiah 17:7
Among the different roads we travelled to Castle San Pietro there was this narrow smooth road with fields of yellow rape to the left and the River Po on our right .
It was a strange feeling being lifted up above them both.

We were definitely on the scenic route!

Arriving as it was getting dark Castle San Pietro had a cafe open and for us it was the novelty of very thick hot chocolate best enjoyed with a teaspoon.

Castle San Pietro Terme where we were pleased to sit quietly in this very silent town.

Here are two quite different things said about keeping gardens and living:

Remember that children , marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.

H. Jackson Brown Jr. An Anerican author known for his book Life’s Little Instruction Book.

So plant your own gardens and decorate your own soul, instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers. This I thought was rather strong but reasonable . It was written by an Argentinian Jorge Lui Borges 1899- 1986 . He was a short story writer, essayist, poet and translator.

Some butter cups picked from a field
of them here in Italy.

Like people, plants respond to extra attention.

H. Peter Loewer. He is a long standing horticultural writer and botanical artist. He wrote amongst other books The Wild Gardener.

We will soon be on the ferry to Greece where we can camp on board.

I hope you have had a blessed Easter.

Take care.

  1. Love your buttercups! It looks every one is ready to spring into action in their gardens as soon as the weather gives us the green light😄🍀 Enjoy the ferry to Greece. New adventure and lands to explore.

  2. Some excellent advice there…
Oh, and after reading about the chocolate drink I’m on my way to eat Milo. Ai!
