When you forget what you planted in a pot!

Remember the past and what happened: for I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times the things that are not yet done…

Isaiah 47: 9,10
Between the straight smooth leaves of Crocosmia is a Viola.
A viola self seeded from those I planted as little plants bought in October 2021 to go through the winter …

Sometimes all you need is to be remembered, especially in a place where it is so easy to forget.

Emery R. Frie

Dahlia has a rich symbolism, the flower stands for wealth and elegance, and also for love and involvement. I didn’t know it was in the pot I forgot I had it there.

“If one fights in the arena forgetful of the past, success will elude him who ignores what he should know.”

Miriam Lichtheim, Ancient Egyptian Literature Volume 1 The Old and Middle Kingdoms.

So much is buried in our lives that we forget what we have learned.

Harley King

I do hope this isn’t true for you but I do think I need to consciously start remembering my past. Remembering my growing up years and how I have become who I am. I will leave you with how the roses in pots in the garden love this heat.

  1. Lovely Plants & Roses🌷🌷🌸🌹🌹🌺🌼🌼πŸ₯€πŸŒΉπŸ’πŸŒ»πŸŒ». Yes, I agree with you Sandy I think that sometimes it is important that we try to remember our past experiences no matter how painful they might be so that we can learn from our mistakes, understand what caused us to be the way we are and move forward to continue evolving. They say that everything happens for a reason and sometimes we don’t understand it until years later. Thank you for the lovely post and life lesson have a wonderful, blessed day!β€β€πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

  2. So glad you agree. Sometimes when I am working on a post I wonder if I should get rid of it and this was one of those. It is interesting to see things happening with plants that can and do happen to us. Take care and God bless your day. Sandy πŸ™πŸ»πŸ˜ŠπŸ€—

  3. Yes Sandy We have a lot buried in our past and it is a treasure trove to go and have a peep at sometimes I love trying to make the connection between past experiences and our behaviour today Love your thoughts and keep writing my friend

    1. Ah, how lovely. As I write those connections seem to be happening especially when I try to keep to the essence of a “happening” . It is interesting what you say. Thank you so much for caring enough to read it.πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ»β€οΈ

  4. Strange you’re visiting the past like that because I’ve been doing exactly the same. We finally have time and maturity to look back, as we grow old, how our growing up years impacted the direction of our lives. Glad I shared those years with youπŸ₯°

    1. Yes , it is an interesting place to go. Things could have been so different if small things had happened. Strange. It is so lovely to know you are there. I don’t take it forgranted. It is special.Thank you for taking time to look at my posts and commenting. πŸ™πŸ»πŸ€—
