Lovage, curry plant and  white rocket

Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.

Romans 12:9
From the top left  of the arrangement lovage then in the middle curry plant and hanging over the front white/sweet rocket flowers.
Lovage putting out spring shoots from reddy – brown, hollow stems.
Lovage joining some of the frozen bean soup from the post wild garlic leaves and nettles. A different flavor this time. No wild garlic leaves or stinging nettles. Lovage tastes like celery, with undertones of parsely and a hint of anise.

Soup is a lot like a family. Each ingredient enhances the others: each batch has its own characteristics; and it needs time to simmer to reach full flavour.

Marge Kennedy

And

Real soup is to the body what peace is to the soul.

Israel Allende

” Sweet rocket – a haze of silver – white flowers adored by butterflies, bees and moths – always with a hint of violet in the day- but like moonlight in the April gloaming.” /(twilight)

Val Bourne
