Hyacinth and mint in navy blue

This navy kharif has three stalks of hyacinth. Their bulbs have produced flowers for three springs and are now less full of florets.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light , and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet , and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink: Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him! Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rotteness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Isaiah 5: 20-24

Some people are mostly layers of violence and tenderness wrapped like bulbs, and it is difficult to say what makes them onions or hyacinths.

Eudora Welty
Ignore the mint focus on the smell of the hyacinth.

“Hyacinths have a powerful scent which can be described as floral green with vegetal aquatic accents and sweet and spicy notes.”

From EPC Experimental perfume club

Poetry is the synthesis of hyacinths and biscuits.

Carl Sandburg
The mint is new this spring from roots that have been there for more than 20 years. There are several words to describe the smell of mint: fresh, cool, bracing, aromatic, distinct, strong-scented …

The mint makes it first, it is up to you to make it last.

Evan Esar

Mint and Hyacinth. Both strong in scent. An amazing couple to pick in the early morning sunlight. Then with water in this navy glass kharif help them stand in their vibrant green and pink.
