A circular 3 mile walk near Mapledurham

…past this mistletoe growing very well high up in a tree.
Mistletoe is ” hemiparasitic” , which means it takes some of its food from another plant in this case the tree. It has pairs of symetrical evergreen leaves on forked branches.
I don’t know how this tree got its shape and it is also difficult to know what type of tree it is.
Brambles

That which happens to the soil when it ceases to be cultivated by the social man happens to man himself when he foolishly forsakes society for solitude; the brambles grow up in the desert heart.
