The people who turn to Jesus for refuge, He lifts above the accusing and the strife of tongues. No man or evil angel can impeach these people. Christ unites them to His own divine – human nature. They stand beside the great Sin Bearer, in the light proceeding from the throne of God. (This is in the story of Mary washing Jesus feet in The Desire of Ages chapter 62)

Lavender with its pale grey green leaves
is mentioned in the Bible by its name of the time spikenard: “Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair”. In medieval times, washerwomen were known as “lavenders” because they scented drawers with the flowers and dried laundry on the scented bushes. Lavender first arrived in Britain in the army kitbag of the Romans, who had faith in its power to heal wounds. It is a natural antiseptic and antibiotic.
Mint, Bay and Marjoram with dry brown flowers. I don’t have a special herb garden. I just have them grow where they can thrive. I like lavender just anywhere.
Sage at the centre:
Smells like………………….
tastes like…….I don’t think I know how to use it well!
The frost made the leaves on the apple tree drop this weekend.
