A Lava vase of Astilbe Japonica and Burning Bush

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth His handywork.

Psalm 19 : 1
Burning Bush
Some dry Astilbe Japonica flowers, a few darker while others are lighter in a shade of pinky maroon. These are with stems of green Common Honeysuckle curving outwards. The stalks of autumn leaves from Burning Bush are mingled between these.
The salmon pink of the autumn leaves with some lemon and light green are well spaced and exactly opposite each other on their stalks. In the garden they are growing as a shrub.
Lava vases are made by using several glazes, at least one of which is very thick and drips down over the other glazes to create a look a bit like lava. This vase has no makers mark that I could find. Its combination of colours is special.
NIGHT WITH LIGHT

The Unknown smiles!
The Heaven Glory reveals
Vast suns, stars, matter
Our eyes weep in humility
Our knees tremble and low kneel.

Sandy

This was written for a poetry challenge where we were invited to use the Japanese tanka form with a celestial theme. I hope I can find which Word Press site it was on so I can submit it .πŸ€£πŸ˜’ Such a beginner!

Be sure to find the place to submit this.
What a lovely post. That burning bush is so lovely. The colour gradients remind me of our msasa trees in spring. Beautiful vase too.
    Don’t forget the poem submission!
