What was in the garden this November morning?

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sins that so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…

Hebrews 12 : 1,2…
My one and only Dahlia this season. Palest of pink and lemon with just a little
cream. The Dahlias are grown in tubs and when I checked on them in the spring and noticed some of them had no green shoots, I dug under and found the tubers were slush. This winter after the first hard frost has killed the leaves I will bring them into a covered area. The tubers will continue to grow for a while and this winter they will be kept drier.
A little cluster of Common Honeysuckle. It grows as a shrubby climber. This one is twining itself through a hedge. It is a magnet for garden wildlife.
Two rose buds. one Scabious, Zinnia, Lavender, a few Cosmos and yellow centered Chrysanthemums.
A stalk of Lavender and a Red Hot Poker trying to bloom.
These
flowers, just a few but enough to make this simple, nameless white pot, a pink filled, November garden grouping of inspiration..

…who for the joy which was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of God.

Hebrews 12 : …2
