3 Zinnias alone
Zinnias with Angelica leaves.
A change of light and angle and order of flowers.
This week I bought this for a few pounds from an antique emporium. Its colour is a pale green with brown showing through.
It’s shape of a flattened front and back with curved sides and slightly rough surface makes it quite tactile. Then there is the simplicity of the pressed flower pattern which isn’t perfectly aligned making it more hand crafted in appearance. The ticket said Japanese and underneath is…
The makers mark under the little pot. If anyone knows this mark please share it with me.

  • Just a few curls left on the petals.

  2. I tried to grow zinnias at HBC, but there were beetles that liked them too. Interesting way the petals open. Cool vase. Looks more Indian than Japanese to me.
