Newlands Corner got its name from a highwayman Robert Newlands. His name was found on a sign which states Newland slept here. This sign is at the Bull’s Head in West Clandon circa 1500.
The area four miles from Guildford in the Surrey Hills is known for panoramic views and family walking trails.
This post is going to combine some thoughts about God and a relationship with views and trails.

Follow the once upon a time water, a zig-zag of green into a landscape of yellow fields and woods.
Is a relationship with God a two way street?
What is said by God in the Old Testament?
God speaking: I have loved you with an everlasting love, therefore I have continued to be faithful to you.
Jeremiah 31:3
So what does He expect from us in this love relationship?
The LORD our God is one LORD and you shall love the LORD your God with all your might… and keep His charges, His statutes, His rules, and His commandments. Deuteronomy 6:4 and 11:1
Does the New Testament also say this?
Jesus speaking: ‘ For God so loved the/ our World that He gave us, His Son, that whoever believes in Me/ Jesus will be saved.’
John 3:16
And what about our love for Him?
Jesus speaking: ‘ If you love me keep my commandments…and I will send you the Comforter ( Holy Spirit) who will live with you for ever.’

Is love necessary from both for a relationship?
The road was shaded,sandy and in some places steeply up hill.
A well walked pilgrim’s path.
With God there is no need to lose love on a lonely highway. Talk to Him, be silent with Him, open the gospel of John and ask for the Holy Spirit’s presence. Read. Try. There is nothing to lose. He is ever present for every single person on this beautiful planet Earth.
