Here is a little thought that has big consequences. It is said by Solomon in the Old Testament and James in the New Testament.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.

The first triangles of sunshine at 6.01 am and…
the last winking eye of the sun through the tortured willow tree 19.59 pm.
Here in the UK we are using water faster than it can be provided. Twenty-three million people have hosepipe bans and 4.4mm of rain fell in July. Yesterday was 32ºC for us.
But there was a surprise in the heat of the day. An elderly person wanted a few branches taken off of his large budlia shrub and my son brought the bundle of cuttings to me with the words:
‘Mum I know you will enjoy these. ‘
And so I have!
The intense colour fills ones eyes, the smell is of sweet wild honey and my guilt was heavy as I thought of how many insects this could have fed. So I took some bottles filled with water, placed a few stalks in each, then with them placed on a chair beneath our own budlia shrub, sat down to wait in the shade of the apple and tortured willow tree. A bee and a moth type creature with orange wings came and worked up the sides and then were gone. Nothing more. I then found out that within hours insects can detect that there has been a separation and that what they are feeding on is no longer connected to a fresh good source. They won’t drink!

Today, has started as yesterday did. I wonder what surprise is in store. I know I now need to check on the plants and give water to a few.
