Beautiful

Here are some idioms: a sight for sore eyes, easy on the eyes, picture perfect. And here are some other words for beautiful perhaps ones you don’t immediately think of: mesmerizing, elegant, mysteriously powerful…

A rose on a shrub they say can last three to four days for fragrant varieties and seven to fourteen days for normal varieties, but how beautiful they are is in the eye of the beholder.

Here are two photographs of the same roses one taken on 27/6/26 at 6:39 am and the other taken 13/7/26 at 19:27. Under each I have asked a question.

Is God beautiful?

David the poet thinks so:

He says: ‘ One thing have I desired and I look for is to live in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to look at the beauty of the LORD, and ask questions in His temple.’

Are we beautiful?

‘ So God created people in His own image, male and female He created them.’

And

While photographing the second time I found the aging roses mysteriously captivating so here are three photographs with three quotes about beauty.
