We are still travelling but this evening before the sun’s last rays left the Rhine we were enchanted by wild flowers planted in large areas. My post tomorrow will look at another well loved natural phenomenon in this area. After each photograph is a quote about wild flowers.

Man has created some lovely dwellings, some soul-stirring literature. He has done much to alleviate physical pain. But he has not created a substitute for a sunset, a grove of pines, the music of the winds, the damp smell of the deep forest, or the shy beauty of wildflowers.

All the flowers of all tomorrows are in the seed of today.

Very little grows on jagged rock. Be ground. Be crumbled, so wild flowers will come up where you are.

In joy or sorrow, flowers are constant friends.

A bounty of wild flowers.
Recognising your talents doesn’t mean believing they’re limitless. Accepting your strengths doesn’t lead to pride, but instead to humility, you are less likely to resent what others have if you understand your bounty.

Walking close to the Rhine another day of light ends in Germany.
It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because His deep awareness of the suffering of us coupled with the desire to relieve it does not fail.
His compassion doesn’t fail.
Lamentations 3: 22-23
We travel on and thank you for looking.
Sandy 🙂
Wow wow wow 😮 awesome
They were so special I couldn’t include them with any thing else. Something I have never seen before, so close together and in different colour combinations. So glad you liked them, too.
❤️🌼❤️
Keep traveling, Sandy. Hope you see more wildflowers like his. Stunning all over!
Beautiful post. Memorising this quote:
Very little grows on jagged rock. Be ground. Be crumbled, so wild flowers will come up where you are.
Rumi
It is lovely!
Have not been well, so haven’t followed you for awhile. However, your trip into Germany caught my eye and I think back to when I lived in Germany for a year in 1959-60. My husband was called into the army, was sent to Germany, and I flew there to be with him. We lived in Hanau, and I got a job teaching at the army school at Pioneer Kaserne. We went so many places, took a Rhine River cruise and many GI tours. Loved all you photos so far.
So glad you are feeling better and pleased you can be with us. I hope I do it justice and bring back happy memories.
Stunning wild flowers👏 feast for your eyes
They responded well seeded so close to each other and blooming all at the same time. We were blessed to see them.
Beautiful captures of wildflowers. 😊
Thank you, it is hard not to find them appealing.
