A Sabbath walk in farmland close to Leiden

Approximately 54% of the Netherlands total land area is used in agriculture, totalling about 1.8 to 2.2 million hectares.

This post has five photographs and two verses expressing how the Bible, when read with prayer functions as a living word bringing change in one’s life.

The cycle path and canal travel together through newly mowed grass.

Here is Peter speaking: ‘ For all flesh is grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass.

The grass whithers, and the flower falls BUT the word of the Lord endures forever.’

1Peter 24:25

The goats sit together on a platform as clouds and shadows cover part of the canal.

Paul writes this to Timothy:

2 Timothy 3:16

Isaiah speaks long before Peter and yet their voices travel together till now 2026:

‘ The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.’
