This morning in the early morning sunlight the new leaves of lamb’s ear, dusty miller, and cardoon all shone white-grey. Each leaf is new this spring as they are all perennials and no dust or grime is on any of them. Their soft texture is due to tiny reflective hairs which reduce water loss, and protect against extreme sunlight. They are great for hot summers.
Here are some thoughts on ‘reflect‘ placed with my photographs focused at looking closely at each of these leaves.
Cardoon

I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever.
Thomas Jefferson Third President of the USA 1801- 1809
Lamb’s Ear

When you really listen to another person from their point of view, and reflect back to them that understanding, its like giving them emotional oxygen.
Stephen Covey Educator,author, businessman 1932-2012.
Dusty Miller

The decisions you make are a choice of values that reflect your life in every way.
Alice Waters Chef, restaurateur and author.
She also said this:
This is the power of gathering: it inspires us, delightfully to be more hopeful, more joyful, more thoughtful in a word more alive.

Here is Paul speaking:
Let us hold tightly onto God’s love and our public acknowledgement of it, which shows our faith because we know He is faithful in His promises. And let us actively think of how we can care for and encourage ourselves and others to love. Remembering to spend time with each other, to speak to each other, especially as we see that Jesus is coming soon.
Hebrews 10:23 Sandy has made it her own. Please read it for yourself.

Take care,
