Look at the branches
Years of growing there
Apple, pear, plum and ornamental
Fruit or pretty leaves
Days make weeks, weeks months,months years
Branch and leaf the keeper of the garden’s heritage.
Religion
Isaiah is talking about us as a heritage/ inheritance of the LORD whose righteousness is of God. (Jesus, the one who through His death gives us forgiveness.)
My question: ‘ So how does the LORD come to this conclusion?’
Answer: ‘ Your Maker is your husband… the God of the whole Earth He is called.’
He says: ‘ I the LORD called you when you were like a woman chosen as a young wife but then rejected when you were old. I hid my face from you for a while but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on you,’ says the LORD your Redeemer.
‘ I swear to you I will not be angry with you or tell you off/ rebuke you. For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness will not leave you, neither will the promise of my peace be removed’ says the LORD that has mercy on you…
‘ You will have a beautiful place to live and the LORD will be your teacher and your children will have great peace. Whoever will gather against you will fall… and everything said against you in judgement you will condemn.’…
This is in Isaiah 54 but then in chapter 55: 6,7 this is said:
‘ Seek the LORD while you can find Him, call Him while He is near: Let the wicked leave what they are doing and thinking, and let them return to the LORD, and He will have mercy and forgive completely…My words accomplish that which I please, and they prosper where they go.’
So much to understand!
