When a breeze blows does the fully open daffidol lose its composure?
Is it humility in its bowed head from the bend of the stem?
Humility and composure
Is humility the internal perspective that keeps one grounded and open to growth?
Is composure about managing reactions?
Is gratitude ‘ a grateful heart, a beginning of greatness an expression of humility’ ?
Humility + composure = gratitude
Gratitude = humility + composure
Is a Christian’s gratitude for forgiveness and the Holy Spirit’s guidance in their life give them a true, accurate and modest assessment of themselves, recognising their limitations and the value of others? (Them as each a different part of the body of Christ, the church) Do they have humility and serve with grace and an even temper as Christ has shown them. Are their actions steady and effective?
Is their gratitude a foundation for much more than humility and compossure but also the fruits of the Spirit for them to take: love, joy, peace, long- suffering…
Charles Spurgeon said:
‘ Revenge, lust, ambition, pride, and self- will are too often exalted as the gods of man’s idolatry, while holiness, peace, contentment, and humility are viewed as unworthy of serious thought.’
And Thomas Merton once said:
‘ Pride makes us artificial.
And
‘ humility makes us real.’
For the daffidol it is the way they are made but for the human it is a daily choice. Life has winds of change do I commit to Christ which takes humility and say as Christ taught us to say in Matthew 6: 10
‘ Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.’

‘ Not my will be done but yours’ said in gratitude for all Christ has done.
Take care,
Sandy 🙂
