Here is a question and an ‘ if you do this I will do this.’ The one is from Matthew and the other from Revelation.
The first is Jesus speaking: ‘Which of you by thinking can add inches to your height?’
Jesus then talks about the worry we have to take care of ourselves, food, shelter and clothes. He then invites us to try something:
‘ Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all this will be added to you.’
Matthew 27:33
Then where are we told not to add where we could add?
‘If anyone adds to these words of prophecy God will add to him the plagues written in this book. And if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, ( the last book in the Bible) God will take their name out of the book of life.’
This is found in Revelations 22 where Jesus says this: ‘ Look I am coming quickly; and my reward is for every person according to their works. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates of the city.’ Rev 22: 12-14 the whole chapter is interesting.
Now looking at the garden. It is interesting that with only short bursts of sun a whole clump of miniature daffidols have bloomed together. This is what I saw.
Winter stalks on the left, the group of daffidols in the middle and all around a mixture of green shapes; new plant growth that I need to look carefully at.
Then by the back door, the lungwort that comes up each year in the crevice between the step and patio slab is there this morning. Its flowers change pink to blue/ blue to pink and its leaves all furry have white spots. I am pleased it looks after itself and is always there to greet the day so grey.
The bittercress common and great, I photographed yesterday were still in their jars with their white roots able to hold the daffidols well, so I added them as well as a stalk of lungwort.
