Travel

So we looked at what God looks like from some Bible verses but what descriptions are there of Satan. Here is some imagery:

A subtle snake in the garden of Eden.

A great red dragon.(Revelation 12:3)

John speaking from his prison on Patmos:

‘ and there was war in heaven,… and the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent the Devil, Satan, who deceives the whole world: he was cast on the Earth, and his angels were cast out with him.’ Revelations 12:9

A lion

Peter speaking about Satan:

‘Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God… cast all your cares on him because he cares for you…Be sober, be vigilant because your enemy the devil, as a roaring lion is seeking to devour those he can find.’

An angel of light

God speaking: ‘ You, Satan, were perfect in your ways from the day you were created until iniquity was found in you… Oh covering cherub I will destroy you.’ Ezekiel 28: 15,16

And then Paul says:

…false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. Don’t be surprised for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light and so are his ministers of righteousness whose end will be according to their works.’ 2Corinthians 11: 13 – 15

And then we can choose:

John speaking: ‘ Those who sin are of the devil: for the devil sinned in the beginning. For this reason the Son of God was manifested (became our Saviour) that He may destroy the works of the devil…

Cain, who was of the wicked one, killed Able. Why? Because his own works were evil, and his brothers righteous… so don’t be surprised if the world hates you.’ 1 John 3: 8-13

Choose today who you will serve. God or Satan? You are not that free. Free choice? Yes!

We travelled with contrast:

Snow, rain and wind through parts of spain…

Then a rainbow blue sky and trees.

Travel has contrast.

Always will.

Why travel?

To experience our world and know that God is good.
