A man came to Jesus with a complaint about the disciples.
He said: ‘ My son is a lunatic and they couldn’t heal him.’
Jesus said: Oh how faithless and how deliberately obstinate this generation is! How long shall I be with you and how long will you not believe. However, I will still stick with you and help. ( ‘How long will I suffer you?’) Bring your son to me.
Jesus rebuked the devil and the child was cured from that hour.
Privately the disciples asked this question: ‘ Why couldn’t we cast the devil out?’
Jesus: Because of your unbelief.
Then later Jesus added: ‘ This kind of devil only goes out with prayer and fasting.’
Who tells Autumn to come?
Do you care for such a foolish question?
Do you speak to Autumn? Does the whole world shout at it?
Think!
You may unwisely not want to know… what if it didn’t come?
What if the seasons changed and got muddled and you refused to look?
What a lunatic you might be!
