Leaves and sky/sky and leaves.

Religion
John the disciple left as a prisoner on Patmos to think and pray and have visions. The apostle who wrote the book Revelation.
Here he is speaking about Christ/Jesus: ‘ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.’ John 1:1,2
Now Solomon is speaking in Christ’s voice: ‘ The Lord possessed me in the beginning of His way, before His works of old I was set up from everlasting from the beginning, or ever the Earth was.’ Proverbs 8: 22-27

This is the Author of our salvation with His two natures divine and human.

Divine

‘ Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God ‘. He was ‘the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person.’

Philippians 2:6 , Hebrews 1:3

Human

‘ He was made in the likeness of man: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled Himself and became obedient to death.’

Philippians 2: 7-8

My faith is in the beautiful mystery of these thoughts.

Let us look at stately poplar trees in front of a bright blue sky and leaves in a puddle with sky reflected.

Leaves leave

Words fall/tumble out
No sticky tape/nails/pritt stick can put them back
Leaves have their season
Words have theirs
But can they melt into the sky?
For a while, perhaps.

Are words and leaves different?
Words can stay forever or can they?

Leaves will come back in spring governed by the tree, different yet the same.
Are words the same as rediscovered old thoughts? Like leaves governed somewhere?
Is it impossible to be original especially if you read a lot and if you don’t read a lot do you then think your thought is original?
Oh!What a shameful thought it isn’t!
Or is it shameful or is it the way it is?

Ps

Some thoughts about thoughts:

‘ We are shaped by our thoughts, we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.’

Buddha

‘ The actions of people are the best interpretors of their thoughts.’

James Joyce

And

‘ Our life always expresses the result of our dominant thoughts.’

Soren Kierkegaard
