A Sabbath walk in Langley Country Park.

Langley Country Park is located in Iver  Buckinghamshire, at Billet Lane. It is situated near the border with Slough and is part of the Colne Valley Regional Park.

We wandered for three miles and in my photographs, I will focus on the sunshine and the quotes I use will come from an experience of God’s presence.

Langley Park had the Harvey family as its owner for 150 years.
Sir Robert Bateson Harvey bought it from the 4th Duke of Marlborough and since 1945 it has been owned by Buckinghamshire County Council.

The first quote is from C.S.Lewis:

‘I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen not only because I see it but because by it I see everything else.’

Experiencing God’s presence

Jesus’ last words as written in Matthew:

‘… and please notice what I say next, I am with you always, even to the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:20

Then Paul said this: ” Let your conversation be without covetousness, and be content with such things as you have: for Jesus said, ‘ I will NEVER leave you or renounce/ abandon/desert/ leave you with no support/ forsake you.’ Hebrews 13:5

This historic parkland has 154 acres of free access
and 360 acres of farmland.

‘ The name of the LORD is a strong tower, the righteous run to it.’ ( We remember to talk to God and know His presence is with us. Sandy’s understanding.) Proverbs 18: 10

An avenue of Sequoia trees.
During the late 19th Century and early 20th century, the Harvey family planted many Giant Sequoia avenues around Langley.

Tonight our clocks turn back so we have more light to get up to. It was chilly but bright today.

Take care,

Sandy 🙂
