This post looks at these three but in between I will share our hope of Jesus’ return.
It is estimated that there are 1,800 specific references in the Bible to Jesus’ return. I will take three and place them after a sketch, painting and photograph of cornflowers that have brought me joy to look at.

Enoch was the seventh from Adam and this is what he said according to Jude 1: 14 – 15
Enoch prophecies: ‘ Look the Lord will come with ten thousands of his saints, to carry out judgment on all and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.’

and all outside is grey
Cornflowers linger longer in colour on a paintbrush
cause tomorrow or next week the sun will shine again.
Daniel interprets a vision and sees the stone destroy all nations:
Daniel speaking: ‘ Iron does not mix with clay… and in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom will not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.’
Daniel 2: 43,44… 45 ( this verse says the stone that does this was cut without hands!)
God speaking through Isaiah: ‘ For as the new heavens and new Earth, which I will make, will remain before me, so will your seed and name remain and it will happen that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, all humanity will come to worship before me.’
Isaiah 66: 22,23

John speaking: ‘ Look, Jesus will come with clouds; and every eye will see Him, and those who pierced Him: and all families of the Earth will cry because of Him. Even so, Amen.’
Jesus speaking: ‘ I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, who is and who is to come, the Almighty.’
Revelations 1: 7,8
Jesus speaking: ‘ For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines to the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.’
Matthew 24: 27 ( An interesting chapter)
Take care,
Sandy 🙂
I couldn’t help smiling at these:
‘ A drawing is simply a line going for a walk.’

And
‘ Sketching is a continuing source of learning rather than a string of performances. ‘
