Let us walk with the sun into Popeswood Meadow. The sun is broken by shade from the oak trees. Some areas of grass have been left to grow long and seed. Nature in its natural way.

Here and there the sun has taken away the shade, spaces all golden with tall grass and tufts of green showing through.

We walk on with the sun as it enters this space.

All shadow now and looking back we can see how far the sun has come. There are bare patches where the grass has been cut short and the prickly stubble needs rain.

A beautiful slow walk with the sun to the wild flowers growing around the new oak trees. Cornflowers blue and yarrow white.

It is a new day a little after 8am.
