Two large sunflowers
and
a bunch of lavender.
Matthew 5: 43 – 45
Love your enemies
Bless them that curse you
Do good to them that hate you!
So Jesus seemed to love honestly by :
telling his enemies ( the Pharisees) they were hypocrites
contrasting their behaviours with those people they thought unworthy
…and at the same time healing and helping if they let Him. (Simon the leper, the healed Pharisee.)
So with all this: How do I love my enemies?
I think I need to go to the garden and meet Mary’s Gardener.

black eyed suezies,
and
a small sunflower
all in yellow.
Purple scabious, petunia and Budlia.
How do I meet this Gardener?
Studying the Bible
‘ The Bible is not an end in itself, but a means to bring people to an intimate and satisfying knowledge of God, that they may enter into Him, that they may delight in His Presence, may taste and know inner sweetness of the very God Himself in the core and centre of their hearts.’ Who said this?
Prayer
True prayer is neither a mere mental exercise nor a vocal performance. It is far deeper than that- it is a spiritual transaction with the Creator of Heaven and Earth.’
Charles Spurgeon
Faith
‘Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark.’
Rabindranath Tagore
Community
‘ The need for community is as fundamental as the need for air, water and food.’
Dean Ornish
I am struggling but I have made a start.
Take care,
Sandy 🙂
