Different stems

In this post, we travel with peace and I look at flowers in our garden and give myself the challenge to put them together.

God is speaking: ‘ The mountains will leave, and the hills will be taken away but

My kindness will not leave you

Neither will I remove the covenant of My peace‘ says the LORD who has mercy. Isaiah 54:10

What is the Covenant of Peace?

Jesus speaking: ‘ Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give it to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.’ John 14:27 This chapter is mostly Jesus speaking.

So how do I do the last bit?

Paul speaking: ‘ Be joyful, be moderate, be thankful when you pray, and then here is a list of things to think about:

True

Honest

Just

Pure

Lovely

All things that are good to report, which have virtue and can be praised, give you peace.

And the peace of God, which we do not understand will keep your minds and emotions (hearts) through Christ Jesus.’

Then to give more emphasis of how to have this peace Paul says :

‘The things you have learned, received, heard and seen in me, do!

The God of peace will be with you.’

I know there is more to the question of ‘What is ?? ‘There is always more… but I can say I  need to use time learning and receiving.

(My order of Philippians 4: 4-9)

Here are the plants that challenged me.

My second try.

I saw these in the garden and wondered how they could be together. What shape would allow so many bent stems? From the gladioli to the Calendulas to the daisies each had character only the Budlia had a straight stem.

My first try. A section of the vase.

It was then that I decided that their stems would look good also, so here they are in a poster.

The last words from Mark Twain:

‘ Be careless with your dress if you must, but keep a tidy soul.’

And a ‘ joke’ from Boris Johnson:

‘ There is absolutely no one, apart from yourself; who can prevent you, in the middle of the night, from sneaking down to tidy up the edges of that hunk of cheese at the back of the fridge.’

Take care,

Sandy 🙂
