Two photographs of the Dolomites.

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face to shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace. ( God give you attention, approval and tranquillity. AI)

Lago Di Dobbiaco reflecting Baranci in its quiet surface.

This Saturday Our Son and his son celebrate the day they were born. With thankfulness, we ask God to bless their lives as He sees and knows what is best.

These two photographs are amongst my last of the Dolomites.
A place I will remember with respect and humility.

I leave you with two thoughts by Reinhold Messner an Italian climber, explorer and author who some consider to be the greatest mountaineer of all time.

‘ Mountains are not fair or unfair – they are dangerous.’

And

‘ The true alpinist doesn’t want any infrastructure, they want to go into the wild. And the odds of getting killed there are relatively high. And most people are sensible enough not to want that.’

Take care,

Sandy.
