Lake Como

‘ This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.’ Psalm 118: 24

Which is early morning ,which is evening?

Yes, of course it is 5:58 am.

Prayer the key of the morning…

…and here it is 17:56 pm.

the bolt of the evening.

Both times are lovely to swim and I enjoyed taking these photographs.I have seen coots, swans, ducks but no fish.

At some time during the days, curiosity makes you join others to see what it is like to cycle the lake. These three photographs were taken where the Mera leads into the long leg of Lake Como near Domaso. The path is good but it is hot!

We have done so little of the approximately 160km ( 100 miles) but what we have seen has been green, blue and clean. We do have souvenirs of insect bites. We share our world with important insects which seem to like blood.

No where is it busy, yet?The school holidays don’t seem to have started. Good to be on the banks of Lake Como.

The cycle path hugs the lake.
The clouds and the mountains. Maybe it will rain.

The lake brings body temperatures down and people are using it not in a unpleasant way. It is good to see nature a soothing calming influence when the sun is harsh!

Some reflection in the water even at 2pm in the afternoon.

How have we coped in Bugzy with the heat. We hung wet towels at the door and one of the windows. Watered the ground all around the van. Bess has had a short hair cut and we wear only the necessary  in linen or cotton. We have thought about going home if the heat gets worse.

Maybe it will rain!

Take care,

Sandy 🙂

Ps

Every day may not be good. BUT there is something good in every day.
