Pear tree shoots and the simplicity that is in Christ…

Today the pear tree is fat with new shoots. I wonder how many blossoms  there will be and then how many pears. Time will tell.

Here is some Scripture I was thinking about this morning:

Paul speaking: ‘ I am jealous over the people I have introduced to Christ. I don’t want them to be deceived by the Serpent (Satan) as Eve was and have their minds corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.’

What is the simplicity of Christ?

Jesus is God, divine, born of a virgin,  crucified, and raised from the dead.

The simplicity of Christ avoids corrupt teachings and being drawn in by multiple masters because there is a singleness of purpose not swayed by worldly distractions.

This purpose is about a daily companionship with the Lord Jesus, and living out of that relationship by expecting His presence.

The simplicity of Christ is related to the purity of the heart which makes for God’s will and  our will one thing and nothing else.

This leads to a simple life style, free from unnecessary possessions or worries allowing one to focus on spiritual matters.

Ah, I have a lot to learn.

This summary is from what AI gave as an answer to : What is the simplicity of Christ?

Here is a quote from Charles Spirgeon:

‘ Grow in the root of all grace which is faith. Believe God’s promises more firmly than ever. Allow your faith to increase in its fullness, firmness, and simplicity.’

I travelled with religion this morning. I took one of two roads  only noticeable when I got to my destination. The travel is almost parallel but is slightly different.

The question which I could have asked was:

What is the simplicity that is in Christ Jesus? AI gave a good answer. Look for it if you like.

Take care,

Sandy 🙂
