Leaves that hang on part 2

The Babylonian Talmud claims:

” Moses wrote his own book, and the passages about Balaam and Job.” We will look at a bit from Job.

Here are two comments made by Job as over a short time, he loses everything in life: his possession,  his beloved children  and his health.

His wife begs him to curse God and die. Job 2:9

Job says: ‘ Though He / God slay me , yet will I trust Him: but I will maintain my own ways before Him.’

Job 13 : 15

Job speaking:  ‘ When I looked for good evil came to me, I waited for light there came darkness.’

Job 30: 26

The story continues with four friends speaking unwisely about God. God then tells them that what they said was not right and that they were to go to Job, and Job prayed for them as God said he would.

” And God healed Job and gave him twice as much as he had before when he prayed for his friends.”

Job 42 : 10

The real

‘ Real knowledge is to know the extent of one’s ignorance’.

Confucius

The acrylic

‘I never paint dreams or nightmares. I paint my own reality.’

Frida Kahlo

The one I tore up.

‘Adversity is like a strong wind. It tears away from us all but the things that can not be torn, so we see ourselves as we really are. ‘

Arthur Golden

The pen.

‘To hold a pen is to be at war.’

Voltaire ( Are you serious?)

So why did  these leaves hold on?

The hormone auxin didn’t reduce because the temperatures weren’t cool enough, and the leaves didn’t detect the shorter days.

So here in this post, an old story once told by Moses of how Satan and God dealt with a righteous man, Job, with some time looking at twigs with leaves that hang on. Both story and image are far more complex  than I imagined. Crisp leaves that curl and a person. Amazing, really!

Take care,

Sandy 🙂
