France and then home.

The Lord speaking through Jeremiah: ‘ I have loved you with an everlasting  love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn you.’

Jeremiah 31 : 3

‘ Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as you have: for God has said, I will never leave you, or forget about you.’

Hebrews 13 : 5

The waters of the Loire River.

Cold and reflecting…

trees growing on its banks…

The Loire River is the longest river in France rising in the southern Massif Central and flowing north and west for 634 miles (1,020km) to the Atlantic Ocean, south of the Brittany Peninsula. It drains an area of about 45,000 square miles (117,000 square km). It is at its highest in late winter, but there is no reliable rule about flooding.  The countryside remains rural and old World with few modern industries. It is a pleasure to be beside its quiet flow of freezing cold silence.

But

we are travelling…

The sea …

A calm khaki grey sea and a pale sky because we are wrapped in mist/fog. It is quiet with a few of us on board.

Home soon.

Thank you for your kindness during our time in sunny Portugal.

Take care as always,

Sandy 🙂

Ps

‘Rumours are like lightning on summer tinder producing flames that dance in flickering brilliance from person to person, sometimes flaring in great conflagrations of exaggeration before finally extinguishing themselves in the cold waters of fact.’

Stephen Leigh
