Sabbath near Sand dunes.

My post has:

Two definitions

Two Bible verses

A poem by me

Three quotes

Photographs and a drawing.

Two definitions.

Infinity

The state or quality of being infinite. The infinity of space.

endlessness, limitlessness, vastness, extemsiveness

Eternity

Infinite or unending TIME. Duration without beginning or end.

Bible verses

Deuteronomy 33:27

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.

John 17 : 3… 20

Jesus speaking to God: And this is life eternal that they might know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ who You have sent… Neither pray I for these alone but for those who will believe in me through my word.

Thinking with words on paper
The sea, sand and sky stretch for eternity.
Eternity defined 'as far as my eye can see!'
That is the sea and sand
But the sky
Is that eternity and infinity?
Beyond measureThe sand grains, all of them... could they be turned into a sheet of glass
A finite sheet.
Yes! So not eternal or infinite?
The sea or water cycle infinite ?  Or (in) eternal (in) motion?

Eternal love
Infinite love
How does that work?
Jean- Jacques Rousseau
' Falsehood has an infinity of combinations, but truth has only one mode of being.'

Is truth love?

My thinking this Sabbath while walking the seemingly infinite sands along dunes which seemed to stretch for eternity.

Three quotes

‘ Infinity is a way to describe the incomprehensible to the human mind. In a way, it notates a mystery. That kind of mystery exists in relationships. A lifetime is not enough to know someone else. It provides a brief glimpse.’

Simon McBurney.

He was born in 1957. He is an English actor, playwright, theater and opera director.

Second quote

‘ Each work has its own space, which should neither be conceived as a sort of cage nor regarded as extending to infinity. ‘

Marino Mavini 1901 – 1980 Italian Artist and Sculptor. Youtube has a good selection of his paintings especially a fine group reflecting   his love for painting horses.

Third quote

‘ We have never observed infinity in nature. Whenever you have infinities in a theory, that’s where the theory fails as a description of nature. And if space was born in the Big Bang, yet is infinite now, we are forced to believe that it is instantaneously infinitely big. It seems absurd.’

Janna Levin . She was born in 1967 and is an American theoretical cosmologist and professor of physics and astronomy at Batnard College.

Take care,

Sandy 🙂
