Jesus speaking:
I am the light of the world: he that follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life… I know where I came from and where I go, but you can’t tell. I am a witness of myself, and the Father that sent me is a witness, too… I am not of this world.
John 8: 12,14,18,23. ( This is such a little of a very interesting conversation between Jesus and the Pharisees, one worth a read if that is of interest to you.)
Today, we walked a little way along the Kennet Canal near Woolhampton West Berkshire. This is how I saw things :

The risk of love is loss, and the price of loss is grief – but the pain of grief is only a shadow when compared with the pain of never risking love.
Hillary Stantan Zunin

Grief changes shape, but it never ends…
Keanu Reeves
I believe these heart-shaped leaves all curling into different shapes may be burdock. It is a short-lived biennial and dies in two or three years after it flowers. The seeds remain viable for two to ten years, so even if you keep cutting them, new plants keep coming up. It is extremely difficult to eradicate burdock. I think I saw a whole area full of it.

Let us look up a while after rain and grey all morning, let us see seeds and leaves against the blue sky with summer fluffy clouds in autumn.

We are appreciative of our skies. Full of change. Like lives changing with the times. Here then there and everywhere. Then look into the canal…
The swans seemed pleased necks slightly bent as they swim with dark reflections tucked in close to them, the breeze making sure the water sparkled blue with yellow.

A couple of hours by the Kennet Canal with a few comments. An autumn day in October 2024.
Take care,
Sandy 🙂
