A Rose in Autumn

‘ Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths lead me in Your truth, and teach me : for You are my God of salvation.’ Help me to wait on you.

Psalms 25: 4,5

The garden is sparkling this morning. Sunshine is in every drop, and there are a lot of glistening miniature pools on every leaf and petal.

This year,2024, the three white roses bloomed while we were away, but now we have a few buds in October.

‘ It will never rain roses when we want to have more roses. We must plant more trees.’

George Eliot 1819- 1880

‘ God gave us memory so that we might have roses in December.’

James M. Barrie

Here is my painting of a September rose. A rose  I took out of a jug of bought flowers.

A single rose can be my garden…

Leo Buscaglia 1924 – 1998 I then went on to listen to him speak. He made me smile. Leo Buscaglia- The Art of Being Human. He ends his talk with these words.

” Offer God the perfect gift that you are and have a blast doing it.”

Our sun has gone behind thick rain clouds, it is grey. Our thoughts are with those experiencing our Earth’s weather at its worst.

Take care,
