Jesus speaking, written how Sandy understands it: ” There are two contrasting roads a broad one and a narrow one. They have two contrasting destinations. The broad, unfortunately, has more people on it and it leads to destruction. The narrow one has fewer people by contrast and leads to life.”
I wish my words could make this better, and the roads were different, but these are Jesus’ thoughts from God .
Matthew 7:13,14
Some good advice is also given:
Whatever you want others to do for you, do the same for them. There is no law against this. Matthew 7: 11

New miniature pansy/ viola plants are all in bud
and flower,
here are a few.
Today, the newly planted violas are in the September sunshine. They are taking up the ‘necessary ‘ to go through the winter. What sort of future winter? We will see. They say plants planted now are stronger in the spring. That will be the year 2025.
At the same time, bears’ breeches are seeding, and the gladioli stalks cling onto the brown petals, which were once red or white. They have a summer story already told. The sedum is in a peek of colour. It is Sedum’s time.

A time of contrast.
Let us travel with this word contrast. First, a cinematic view, then a poet and writer’s followed by a psychologist’s view.
I will first give a quote from the person and then if you want to experience more press on the underlined connection.
‘As a means of contrast with the sublime, the grotesque is, in our view, the richest source that nature can offer.’
Victor Hugo 1802 -1885 French Romantic Writer, Poet and Politician. If you would like to listen to a poem of his press on Tomorrow At Dawn.
‘ Contrast is what makes photography interesting.’
Conrad Hall 1926 – 2003
A Cinematic Life: The art of influence… Here, Conrad Hall’s son and colleagues speak of a life lived with humility, flare, and artistic honesty.
‘ Experienced happiness refers to your feelings, to how happy you are as you live your life. In contrast, the satisfaction of the remembering self refers to your feelings when you think about your life.’
Daniel Kahneman 1934 -2024 An Israeli American Psychologist is best known for his work on the psychology of judgment and decision – making as well as behavioural economics, for which he was awarded the 2002 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences together with Vernon L. Smith.

some staying.
‘Digital time does not flow; it flicks. Like any binary, discrete decision, it is either here or there. In contrast to our experience of the passing of time, digital time is always now, or a in no time. It is still. Poised.’
Douglas Rushkoff ( An American media theorist writer, lecturer, novelist, and documentarian. If you want to hear him speak : Google his name , there is a program Native Ecosystem dated 3 April 2024. I appreciated this from what was said, which is my takeaway : instead of solving, be still and be with the person or situation in the present, choose compassion. Ask and answer present questions. )
We have a sunny day here. Much appreciated.
Take care,
Sandy 🙂
