Here are two stories of such contrast in attitude to money.
They are told close together in Mark.
Mary takes a year’s salary, buys perfume, and washes Jesus’ feet. Mark 14:3-11
Jesus speaking: ” This action of Mary’s will be told all over the world as a memorial of her.”
Judas sells Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. Mark 14 : 18-21
Jesus speaking : ” The Son of man is definitely going: but sadness for the man who betrays the Son of man. It was better that he wasn’t born.” (Read it from the Bible if you want to make it your own. This is Sandy’s wording .)
This is how this post will travel. I am using the word stone. First, I will show you what I saw in the garden this morning in three photographs and the arrangement it inspired in a jar.

curved stems of three rudbeckia, three chive heads in seed,
right in the front.
These three from a
September 2024 garden
None of the plants needed water, I used small stones to support the charm of bent stems and September heads in a jar.
Notice the dark lines and dense areas, but holding them are small stones.
I am going to travel with this word stone. Here, I have linked a list of idioms and phrases. A poem of sorts, or just a few thoughts if thought can make small stones big.
September is not set in stone, and neither are the other months ahead
Each month, a stones throw away from the other
No stone can be left unturned to prove a heart is true
So don't be the first to cast a stone
Instead, fill a jar with stones and support the months before September.
I hope you like this quote by Leonardo da Vinci:
” You should look at certain walls stained with damp, or at stones of uneven colour . If you have to invent some background, you will be able to see in these the likeness of divine landscapes, adorned with mountains, ruins, rocks , woods, great plains, hills and valleys in great variety; and expressions of faces and clothes and an infinity of things which you will be able to reduce to their complete and proper forms. In such walls the same thing happens as in the sound of bells, in whose stroke you may find every named word which you can imagine.”

Take care and may time be good to you. Our Earth is beautiful.
Sandy 🙂
