Wild swimming at Norberg  Sweden

And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, saying:

Hurt not the earth , neither the sea nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

Revelations  7 : 2,3

What is the seal of the living God, which is placed in the foreheads of His people?

It is a mark which angels, but not human eyes ,can read; for the destroying angel must see the mark of redemption. The intelligent mind has seen the sign of the cross of calvary in the Lord’s adopted sons and daughters.  The sin of the transgression of the law of God is taken away. They have put on the wedding garment and are obedient and faithful to God’s commands.

I guess these verses came to mind because of our experience here in the forests with many lakes. Let us look at a wild swimming area and get to know a bit about who is using it. The weather is changeable.  Those who come to swim get dressed warmly afterwards. We are a brave group.

The Norberg swimming area.

When we first arrived this was our experience then for a very short time, about eight of us went in.

It was icy.

A young woman was encouraging me but hadn’t yet got in. I warned her once I was in how very cold it was. She then came in, and we took much longer than expected to ‘get used to it’.

The international  group were from the Norberg festival. They invited me to join them the next day, but we were travelling on…

Before we leave this spot. Look how the sky and sea were painting in the browns of the water. (Looking at one’s skin through the water made it a golden brown, too.)

Travelling on in Bugzy, the forests look carefully managed

These are called retention trees. They are very important to the future of seedling trees. Retention trees provide a habitat, shelter, and food for different organisms.

They stand alone for

bio-diversity.

They will be

the dead wood

for the growing new trees.

Look towards the end of the clip for the retention trees. The forests are thick and green.

70% of Sweden’s land area is covered in forest.

40% spruce

39% pine

13% birch

8% broadleaf trees.

Take care,

Sandy 🙂

Ps

Here is my enjoyment of the lower trunk parts of a group of pines.
