Hegsfjorden Norway

Fear God and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgement is come: and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

Revelations 14 : 7

The view over the water towards the narrowing of the Hegsfjorden.
It is by stumbling over something that you hurt yourself
But when your feet walk over another's footprints, incased in bronze you look carefully.
Both of these happened
one at the beginning of the day
the first at the end.
The quayside at Stravanger has
Shirin Ebadis'
footprints and the title
Nobel Peace Laureate 2003
She is an Iranian lawyer, writer, teacher and judge who has worked particularly for women and girls
she now lectures in many countries.
At the end of the day I fell over a cement bollard
Too engrossed in white, wooden houses once lived in by those involved with the lucrative herring industry here on the fjord.

Today we travelled over the water by ferry while  I guess at one point cars were above us on a bridge and below us in a 14 km tunnel.

Then there was Pulpit Rock 604m above the Lysefjorden approximately  25 by 25m Square and flat. A terrific sight.

Then a complete STOP!

Time enough for the ferry  to come to the rescue of two little boats in trouble the one with smoke coming from the engine.

A day to remember.

Here it is in my photographs and a few sayings.

Some sayings said about pulpits and then a few words from the International Convention for the Safety  of Life at Sea.

When it is foggy in the pulpit it’s cloudy in the pew.

Carett Robert

If we had more hell in the pulpit, we would have less hell in the pew.

Billy Graham

The words of the Bible and the Bible alone, should be heard from the pulpit.

Ellen. G. White

It is a crime punishable by fine and imprisonment for failing to assist ” any individual found at sea in danger of being lost.”

I have had a bad Internet connection so I hope it is fine now.

Take care,

Sandy 🙂
