A Sabbath circular walk from Datchet

He has shown you, Oh people, what is good.

And what does the LORD want from you ?

To act justly

Love mercy

Walk humbly with your God.

Micah 6:8 (Sandy’s way of separating out the words.)

It is good to note that different people in our group take a turn to lead a walk, and it is advantageous to see that paths sometimes cross or for a little way lead you where you have been before.

Very much like life.

For this walk we started in Datchet went right through Eton and crossed the Thames into Windsor then along the river and back to Datchet, about 5 miles.

 Walking!

Looking at vegetation and bricks all washed and wet
Grass is determined to seed and buttercups not in groups but ready to take over the world.
Horse chestnuts heavy in leaves and lighting the grey afternoon with creamy white candle flowers.
An impressive sight.

The Queen's swans
No, I mean the King's swans
Sleep, feed and paddle in the fast flowing waters of the Thames
I saw one purposefully nudge the tail feather's of a goose!
A moment of disbelief for it and me.

All the brickwork is shiny clean the siena against grey sky and tar
A pleasant combination as we walk past stately lodgings.

An afternoon walking through a little of Eton,Windsor and the green of a wet spring!

Photographs say so much so here they are grouped. Nature, swans and structures.  They are what they are! A record/ memory of a day in April 2024.
