Saint Erth to Saint Ives

The highest heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth he has given to mankind…..

If I go up to the heavens , You are there. If I make my bed in the depths, You are there.

Psalm 115 : 16 , Psalm 139 : 8

Often, when travelling, we arrive at our destination in the late afternoon. We are using the train, this time, and I will share the last section from St. Erth (yes , with no ‘a’) to St Ives. The three photographs are taken from the train going at about 30 or 40 mph.We had been averaging 100mph until Exeter, so it felt comparatively slow.

Here are three photographs which are a taste of this journey.

Hayle Estuary
The estuary and the sea meet.
Sands of Hayle Towans and later on Carbis Bay.

This route is known for being spectaular as it hugs the coast and with splashes of yellow gorse against the blue of the sea and sky it is a colourful ten minutes.

Let us go into St. Ives tonight.

Coming round the corner, we heard the strong voice of the sea and read a plaque. Listen with us, then read a plaque on the wall I was leaning over to video the sand…

Tomorrow will be another day. We will see this place in the light. I hope you will share it with us.

Sandy 🙂
