Paths near Hurst

The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4: 7

We walked for four miles across fields and along paths, clearly marked. It was interesting to notice the slow acceptance of the soaked land of even more water. The photographs show the pools, puddles, and ditches with an abundance of water.

A ditch to the left filled from
side to side.

Ridges of mud glistening in the sun and stretching ahead with larger puddles to go round or through.

Spring blossom with a mirror of water behind and a bank of green.
A field where a tractor has left tracks soon filled with water.
A drier stretch along the river Lodden.
In shade and sun, the road leading into the village is good to see.
We have heavy soaked boots and are glad to be back.

The shadows are sharp

with the village pond full to the brim.

The sun may be bright, but it is still really cold. A Friday on the paths around Hurst.

Take care.

Sandy 🙂
