A Sabbath walk in a well loved place

I beg you to obey the voice of God/ the Lord… so it will go well with you and you will live.

Jermiah is speaking to a king who had not listened or obeyed God. Jeremiah 38:20

This week, I tried to paint a glossy leaf. I laughed at my attempt. I then saw the photographs of a fellow blogger. The gloss on the water was inspirational in the shapes and variation of colour. I thanked the blogger for the kind share. Then, walking today, I was drawn to a sun low in the sky caught by broken/melting ice.

My attempt to capture ‘shine’.
Ice slowly changing, not a perfect mirror to the sun but with changes bright and less bright,
making golden reflected light. SHINE?
Breaking ice.
Splitting with the cracks.

The meadow was a good place to be today. Quiet and crisp.

To be interested in the changing seasons is a happier state of mind than to be hopelessly in love with spring.

There must be something in this.

  1. I love this exhortation… I beg you to obey the voice of God/ the Lord… so it will go well with you and you will live….
The still small voice that stirs in us, sometimes we question is it possible, some times we don’t hear it at all and sometimes we act on it not knowing we heard… But to take action..
    Thank you πŸ™πŸ’πŸ’–

      1. Gas it started raining where you live? I felt like God was saying ” have a day of soaking me in” and soon after that I saw the rain coming in, down the valley. Feels like great timing. Having a blessed day πŸ˜ƒ

      2. Oh sorry I read this and some how forgot to reply. How are you feeling with your flu’? I hope you are getting better. The storm was impressive here. We thought Cape Town wind is bad, my goodness! Wishing you a speedy recovery.

      3. No problems! This flu will pass. I need to go at its pace.. I’m glad you are safely through the storms. Weather is an ‘impressive’ phenomenon. Once it is in charge, you can’t not respect it. We have some brightness here . Have a good day.πŸ™‚πŸ€—
