And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept:
God took one of Adam’s ribs, and closed up the flesh.
With this rib,
God made woman.
God then took her to Adam.
Adam said: ‘This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she will be called Woman, because she was taken out of man.’
Therefore, the man will leave his parents, and they will be one flesh.
They were both naked and not ashamed.
Genesis 2 : 21-25
I noticed yesterday that while photographing and painting the sage, how ‘rough’ the surface of the leaf was. The texture seemed to come with grey white and olive green. Today, once again, the sun was shining. This time, I looked at gloss on leaves.

The yellow spots are sensitive to sun. (They can suffer from sunburn. ) These marks are inherited from the mother plant with the variegation not under the control of the DNA of the nucleus, but probably under the control of the chloroplasts where photosynthesis occurs. If the female plant is green and the male variegated, the seedlings will be green.

The money tree, in particular, has been associated with removing airborne pollutants, including benzene, carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, and xylene.

If you don’t have your experiences in the moment, if you gloss them over with jokes or zoom past them, you end up with curiously dispassionate memories.

This post then travelled down a bewildering road of sociology when I found this quote.
A gloss is a total system of perception and language.
Talcott Parsons ( He was born in America in 1902 and died in Germany 1979 after giving a lecture on social class to an audience of German interlectuals the day before.) If you press on his name there is a ‘Mickey Mouse’ presentation…
you may wish for more in-depth explanations of his work in sociology that he has left for us. There are plenty to be had).
Thank you for looking at my post.
