The sepals of the Amerilla and shadows

‘Whoever chooses to live in God’s shelter will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty God’. Psalm 91:1

I remember noticing and commenting on the stretching of the protective sepals as the four buds grew. Today, all four flowers are open, but look at the sepals. Shrunken and tinged with brown. Their protection no longer needed. The flowers themselves have black lines of change just as they are all out together. Time has proven to be passing…

Here is a thought about the word YES and NO. I had to read it several times to understand what Christopher Voss was saying.

There are three kinds of yeses.

There is

commitment

confirmation

counterfeit

People are most used to giving the counterfeit yes because they’ve been trapped by the confirmation yes so many times. So the way you master no is understanding what really happens when somebody says ‘no‘ . When yes is commitment , no is protection.

Patience serves as a protection against wrongs as clothes do against cold.

Christopher Voss Leonardo de Vinci

The best protection any woman/ (man) can have is courage.

It has been a special time for me to paint change over time. My final painting is joyful in its colourful background with its own character. I appreciated being alongside this plant from the third week in December 2023 until today, 9 January 2024. I guess I could title these three ” Change with time.”

The true work of art is but a shadow of the Devine perfection.

Today, the air is crisp and burns inside your nostrils while the sun is making sharp shadows. Walk a while and feel the day.

Take care.
