A walk in Popeswood Meadow

Here’s a verse that takes me back to days on the farm when large animals were slaughtered. An unpleasant vivid memory .

For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than a two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and interests of the heart.

To be so fully known by God through the study of His word is pleasant or unpleasant. I guess we have to choose.

I wanted you to see the beauty of the meadow before all the leaves are gone, so here it is.

The small trees in their green plastic are still standing ready for winter. Many of the old oaks have a little gold with brown trunks showing. They were all in the midst of a frosty, misty afternoon today as were quite a large number of bedraggled spider webs.
