Poems on death

Autumnal scene.
Loss of what?

A weak frame that holds up
A jaw that is in pain to chew
A heart that beats faint
A voice dry with age.
But then the breath has gone.
There is love that was
A sleeping love that will one day be woken
Let sadness form with tears
He is gone
Mum is gone
All four have gone
We are next in line!
It is what it is!

Insults flow
Talk is hurtful
Anger grows
Then Pops!
People talk, jabber. Jabber, jabber
'You know this, I know that, we know all!'
Do they know all?
No! Not at all. All is never known by all
Give up!
Be at peace they will never know.
I love you.
It is in the wind

Sleeping then stirring
Motion with no direction
Movement to nowhere
So, what next? What can we do?
Do we wait or try to help?
Waiting hardens the stem connection!
Sad this stirring with no direction.
We hang yellow on the tree.

All three written by me ,

Sandy😪,

after the death of my father.

Thank you for caring.

      1. Yes, it’s not like one gets another chance at these end of life moments… And I can imagine there are layers of complexities as well. My mom was the last of all her siblings and I am the oldest of all the cousins and I really had a deep sense of taking on the mantle of being the matriarch… Of faith and of material stuff. Any enough of my experience. Your experience is valid, keep expressing it. It’s you and God, 🤗🌹
