Hydrangea, oak, Chrysanthemums, and echinacea seed heads

Be still

And

Know

I am God.

Psalm 46 : 10

Holding space means to be with someone without judgement….To practice empathy and compassion

Here are some sayings about making space:

A person creating space in their lives for something they don’t deserve at all get readily something they don’t desire at all.

Author Anji

A crowded mind has no space for creative thoughts.

If we are called to attention by God’s Life and Holy Spirit, then the ‘spiritual life ‘ is not a pleasant option we might like to pursue when we have space and time, it is that which is creating its own space and time within us, and to neglect is to lose ourselves.

Luke Timothy Johnson (He is Senior Fellow at the Centre for the Study of Law and Religion at Emory University)

I would rather sit on a pumpkin and have it all to myself than be crowded on a velvet cushion.

Louis Theroux

I stepped into the garden and was fascinated by spaces between small flowers grouped together. Clearly, they were made to share the space using their little stems, and they were. Hence, my choice of the closely packed hydrangea head. I played long with my paint brush, then in a last attempt, picked and separated the faces, giving me more space to see their petals gapped from each other. It was an interesting time to work with my own thinking about giving space .
