Now unto Him who is able to keep you from falling, and present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
to the only
wise God,
our Saviour,
Be glory and majesty,
Dominion and power
Both now and ever.
Amen.
Jude 1:24,25
After leaving Dundee, we agreed that we would travel to Saint Andrews and then make Gretna our last stop in Scotland.
The journey along parts of the coast where the wild winds swept the blues of the seas into the deep browns of the rocks and then contrasted it with the yellows of cut wheat fields filled the senses. However, the night in St Andrews was filled with the sound of a high-pitched wind, making it difficult to sleep. We spent a little time in the town. Sunshine, rain, and wind in strong bursts made for a short visit.

A quaint university town . A pleasant enough place with much history. We are now homeward bound. Perhaps another time.

It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end.

Gretna was our last Scotland stop. The famous Blacksmith’s shop and wedding dresses were visible through the rain. They tell the story in brief about the town.
The marriage act in England and Wales in 1754 forbade marriage without your parents’ permission if you were under 21. As it was still legal in Scotland, young lovers without consent would cross the border to this romantic but unassuming place.
Our journey through Scotland is over. Thank you for being with us.

One of my favorite benedictions. Looks like a chilly spot to be camping. Love the photos.
Thank you for your kind comments. It was chilly, and we are happy to be home.
